Abstract:

This research study aims to explore the factors influencing voter turnout in local elections. Local elections play a crucial role in shaping local governance and decision-making processes. However, voter turnout in these elections tends to be significantly lower compared to national elections. This study seeks to investigate the factors that contribute to low voter turnout in local elections and identify potential strategies to increase participation. The research will employ a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative analysis of voter data and surveys, as well as qualitative interviews with voters and election officials.
