Project Summary:

The final year project thesis aims to explore the impact of social media usage on adolescents’ mental health. The study will investigate how social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Snapchat can potentially influence the mental well-being of teenagers. The research will focus on understanding the relationship between social media usage patterns, such as frequency and duration of use, and its effects on adolescents’ self-esteem, body image, anxiety, and depression.

The study will adopt a quantitative research design, using a questionnaire survey as the primary data collection method. A sample of 200 adolescents aged 13-18 will be recruited from local schools and youth organizations.
