Evaluating the Economic Viability of Agroforestry Systems in Promoting Sustainable Land Use and Diversifying Farmers’ Income. MSC

Abstract:
This research aims to evaluate the economic viability of agroforestry systems as a means to promote sustainable land use and diversify farmers’ income. Agroforestry, the intentional integration of trees and crops or livestock on the same land, has gained attention as a sustainable land management practice that offers multiple benefits. This study will assess the financial aspects of agroforestry systems, including the costs and returns associated with their implementation, as well as the potential income diversification opportunities they provide for farmers. By analyzing case studies and conducting economic modeling, this research will provide valuable insights into the economic feasibility of agroforestry systems and their potential to contribute to sustainable land use and rural development.
