Investigating the Economic Implications of Agricultural Value Chain Integration on Smallholder Farmers’ Income and Market Access. MSC

Abstract:
This research study aims to investigate the economic implications of agricultural value chain integration on smallholder farmers’ income and market access. The agricultural value chain refers to the various stages involved in the production, processing, and distribution of agricultural products, from farm to consumer. Smallholder farmers, who constitute a significant portion of the agricultural sector in many developing countries, often face challenges in accessing markets and earning sustainable incomes. This study seeks to explore how integrating smallholder farmers into the agricultural value chain can potentially enhance their income levels and improve their market access. By examining case studies and conducting quantitative analysis, this research aims to provide valuable insights into the potential benefits and challenges associated with value chain integration for smallholder farmers.
